It is very true that if we want to test a man's character, we must give him power. Power such that he can rule on others. Most people who do not value integrity, will fall into the temptation of abusing his power and using it for his own benefit. A person with high integrity will stay the same no matter how much power he has or can even do great things for others using his power.

Integrity is the supreme quality for leadership

Integrity is the supreme quality of a leader. Being a leader means somebody is looking up to you or following you. Thus, it is very important to possess an impeccable character if you are a leader. You must serve as a good example to your followers. If you are doing that, you are indeed a good leader.

A man with a pure heart is strong. Pure heart has a clean conscience. And a pure conscience builds strength.

To be conscious that you deserve the honors you posses is a sign that you are sure of your integrity. You do not need to be ashamed of yourself for having such honors.
