"Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power."
It is very true that if we want to test a man's character, we must give him power. Power such that he can rule on others. Most people who do not value integrity, will fall into the temptation of abusing his power and using it for his own benefit. A person with high integrity will stay the same no matter how much power he has or can even do great things for others using his power.
As they say, power is intoxicating.
